Sometime we have a confusion about LOCA VS OCA, which one of these two is better for us to refurbish a LCD? Here is a brief comparison.

LOCA is a better choice when doing a home replacement! While the OCA is more popular between manufacturers and refurbishing factories, OCA is more professional in some way and it needs specialized equipment. Such as the OCA laminating machine. And this kind of machine is very expensive, if not do a massive repair, it is no need to spend too much to buy the professional equipment! And actually the LOCA is more convenient than OCA without these equipment.

Some little differences between these two: LOCA VS OCA

1)OCA is more stable in the application, because it will not overflow, don’t like the LOCA, which has the risk to overflow to other area it shouldn’t (For example, LOCA will damage the backlight).

2)The bubbles during lamination. Once there is a bubble set in LOCA, it can’t be removed, but we can use a defoaming machine when OCA set a bubble.

Maybe that’s why these volume production need OCA but not LOCA. To small scale repair, LOCA is a better choice because of the short of professional equipment.
